About Moi

Dearest foodie fanatic,

I am a young, 16 year old girl living the awesome life here in Victoria, Australia. And quite frankly, drowning in the wonderful bowl of food.

The love is watching your daily does of MasterChef Australia or your weekend doses of its absolutely adorable spin-off, Junior MasterChef or even enjoying its rival, My Kitchen Rules, hankering for the sexy French accent of a certain judge or sometimes for its uniqueness (though it can be strangely similar) to the MasterChef brand.

The chef I mostly look up to is Jamie Oliver. He's fresh, he's spicy and because he says 'yoghurt' in a rather funny accent. I don't mind Mr. Blumenthal either, but I know that I will never, and I mean ever be able to re-create one of his ghastly gargoyle of a gastronomy that tastes rather angelic to the taste buds.

Sadly, I do not own many cookbooks. I own a copy of the Junior MasterChef Official Recipe Collection and some of your foodie mags like those Women's Weekly ones and a couple of those Coles pamphlets from the dashing Curtis Stone. I do want to own one of Donna Hay's scrumptious dessert cookbooks (which, through my cousin, I shall just download in the mumma's iPhone instead), even Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals and the MasterChef boys, Gary and George's cookbooks. I wouldn't mind some cookbooks from any other foodie people, big or small, really. If I like them, I'll usually buy them.

But hey, though I do not have a great knowledge in the culinary world, I am still learning and continually do so through the watching of television or through Food Tech at school or even with my friend R and I's holiday ritual of cooking a meal every term break.

I love a good conversation, so if you're up for it, we could always go and have a hot cuppa at Max Brenner's or indulge in their chocolate waffles while we talk about food, potatoes and food.

Love love,
Cass
